Event Details

The Environment Institute would like to invite you to attend "Four in 40", a collaboration between The University of Adelaide and the DWLBC, where 4 speakers each speak for 10 minutes on their research and its implications for policy (and vice versa), followed by some time for discussion.

The idea is to expose people in both organisations (and beyond) to what is happening and to make useful connections. This follows on from a successful event held in April.

The second Program this year will be held on Tuesday 8th June from 12:30 to 1:30 at the Auditorium, RIAus, 55 Exchange Place in Adelaide (just behind 25 Grenfell St). (Google Map)

The topic will be climate change and water management and the speakers will be:

·         Barry Brook on climate change and multi-species extinction modelling, The University of Adelaide

·         James Hall on climate change and land capability assessment, DWLBC

·         Steve Barnett on climate change and groundwater availability, DWLBC

·         Angus Simpson on Climate change and minimising the carbon footprint of water infrastructure, The University of Adelaide

Future "Four in 40" events will have themes of modelling and communication of science.
